Synagogue

Synagogue

downtown Beirut

Downtown in the area called Wadi Abu Jmeel there is an old synagogue. I saw it in 1996 when wandering through the ruins around the "green line" that separated the east and west sides of the city during the civil war. It's still there and not renovated like the churches and mosques have been. I wonder what the story is.
